CWS Corporate Housing to engage with ISAAP certification in April 2025!

Round Rock, TX, March 27th, 2025

ISAAP relaunched its bespoke certification for providers of Corporate Housing at the beginning of 2024.

Following a number of exploratory conversations during 2024 and a meeting with Tracy Hayes (CWS President) at CHPA Connect25 last month, Jenny Garza (CWS Vice President of Operations) is co-ordinating the schedule of visits across the core CWS inventory hubs.

The ISAAP NACH Base 1 process will take place across CWS’ suites in Texas and Colorado during the second half of April, and we hope very much to be able to confirm successful certification at the end of that month.

“At CWS Corporate Housing, we believe that achieving industry certifications like ISAAP is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. These certifications not only validate our commitment to excellence but also assure our clients that they are receiving the best possible experience. By engaging in this certification process, we continuously improve our operations and uphold our reputation as a trusted provider in the corporate housing industry.” says Jenny Garza, Vice President of Operations.

CWS Corporate Housing Forms Strategic Partnership with Vest Residential

Round Rock, TX, December 10, 2024

CWS Corporate Housing is once again strengthening their offering through a new strategic partnership with Vest Residential – a full service property management company with more than 20,000 Class A and Class B multi-family residences across eight states. This move creates the largest corporate housing partnership in the U.S., allowing for mutually-beneficial lease agreements that simultaneously increase occupancy at Vest Residential communities, while offering more flexible terms to CWS Corporate Housing clients.

CWS Corporate Housing Forms Strategic Partnership with Vest Residential

Round Rock, TX, December 10, 2024

Round Rock, TEXAS (December 10, 2024) –

CWS Corporate Housing is once again strengthening their offering through a new strategic partnership with Vest Residential – a full service property management company with more than 20,000 Class A and Class B multi-family residences across eight states. This move creates the largest corporate housing partnership in the U.S., allowing for mutually-beneficial lease agreements that simultaneously increase occupancy at Vest Residential communities, while offering more flexible terms to CWS Corporate Housing clients.

This alliance marks CWS Corporate Housing’s seventh such strategic partnership – with four formal exclusive agreements and three large management company preferred agreements, in addition to the 2019 acquisition of Gables Corporate Accommodations.

Jill Pollard, VP of Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for penning these exclusive agreements. “These agreements allow us to set a higher level of service expectations not only for our clients and guests, but also for the properties and management companies,” says Pollard, “It’s a win on all sides.”

The operational standard across the corporate housing industry calls for 6-12 month leases, which often is longer than guests’ desired length of stay. This creates several days, weeks, or even months of vacancy carrying costs. CWS’s distinctive approach allows the company to match lease terms and avoid an unnecessary layering of fees. Additionally, because of their deep commitment to the industry and the high level of trust among their strategic partners, CWS is also better positioned to negotiate more favorable terms and fees for their guests.

“I am grateful that we have a focus on forging these widescale agreements across our portfolio,” claims VP of Sales and Marketing, Beth Hotze, “the positive outcomes are incredible.”

CWS’ Covid Relief Program

CWS’ Covid Relief Program

Tuesday, December 15th, 2020

AUSTIN, TX – When we rang in the New Year for 2020 almost a year ago, coronavirus and COVID-19 were not words we expected to learn.  Quarantine, cancelled, postponed and social-distanced became a way of life. Even though many things have changed in the world, the CWS culture of giving back still holds strong.  In response to the need around us, CWS established the COVID Relief Program which provided financial assistance to individuals in need that were directly affected by the coronavirus.

The program allowed associates to identify affected individuals that they would like to make a financial donation to and submit their request to CWS for consideration.  Once approved, the associate would submit their donation anywhere between $25 to $1200 to CWS and in turn CWS would match the amount and issue a check for the total amount to the individual in need.

Made possible by the generosity of the 69 CWS associates, to date CWS has distributed $95,520 to 76 nominated individuals who were impacted by the coronavirus.

One of the recipients, Christy DeLeon, said, “The COVID relief money CWS donated to our family really helped out by going directly to bills during this difficult time.  We currently have a sophomore in college and a senior in high school, so the bills are unending.  Both my husband and I were furloughed at the onset of COVID back in March & April, then I was laid off on June 30th after a 23-year long career with my company. My husband is still on furlough and will be into this next year with no exact return date, therefore any help has been much appreciated. We are very thankful to have received the donation and consider it a true blessing to have been chosen as a recipient.”

About CWS Corporate Housing

CWS Corporate Housing is an award-winning industry leader specializing in short-term furnished apartment rentals in over 240 cities nationwide.  With the acquisition of Gables Corporate Accommodations in 2019 and their recently announced exclusive partnership with a large Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), they continue to expand their portfolio with exclusive access to 200,000 apartment homes.  These partnerships allow CWS to provide more availability to direct housing solutions in the domestic U.S. that any other temporary housing provider.

CWS Corporate Housing has received national recognition for excellence in customer service, innovation, and philanthropic efforts. These achievements reflect the impact of their experienced and dedicated team members, their superior knowledge of the markets served, and their expertise in providing temporary living solutions that create lasting impressions.

Before the Storm: 4 Essential Components of a Disaster Recovery Plan during a Pandemic

Friday, August 21st, 2020

AUSTIN, TX- At CWS Corporate Housing, we have a dedicated business continuity and emergency response team and review our plans annually.

Before the Storm: 4 Essential Components of a Disaster Recovery Plan during a Pandemic

Before the Storm: 4 Essential Components of a Disaster Recovery Plan during a Pandemic

Disaster planning and business continuity are essential for any business, especially those operating in areas where storms or natural disasters are common. Planning allows your business to respond more quickly and effectively when an incident occurs. More importantly, it helps you keep your employees and clients safe and reduce damage to your physical property and information.

At CWS Corporate Housing, we have a dedicated business continuity and emergency response team and review our plans annually. We focus on three key elements —resilience, recovery, and continuity. Through this level of planning, we can provide best practices and processes, ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees, make sure we are aligned with our partners, and ultimately keep our customers safe. Below we share elements of an effective disaster recovery plan, based upon our experience and insight.

How to Create an Effective Disaster Recovery Plan

1. Assign a Dedicated Team

All effective disaster plans require resources dedicated to planning for and managing an incident. It’s essential to identify a specific team responsible for assisting in the event of the disaster. Each team member should have a clear role, plus access to training and the resources necessary to support this role. A good disaster recovery plan includes preparedness steps that take place well in advance of any disaster and calls for practice through drills like building evacuations, safety protocols, and training on how to deal with threats.

At CWS, we have a Strategic Risk Management Team for this purpose. During an event, the team meets every hour to determine contingency, safety, and communication plans. The team holds responsibility for contacting our guests by phone to determine their location and situation and provide assistance. Our plan establishes a Command Center to coordinate and assist in all aspects of operations and business contingency in case of an emergency. This encompasses working with our partners, securing emergency lodging for guests and employees, and making travel arrangements as necessary.

2. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

When it comes to disaster planning, communication is an essential piece of the process before, during, and after an event. Communication among the internal team and external clients is key, as each impacted should be aware of the response. An effective disaster recovery plan includes communicating at three critical times:

  • Before Event: Distribution of general information, such as best practices, safety procedures, and training, in advance. These communications may also include storm warnings or other updates on an anticipated or potential incident.
  • During Event: Real-time updates and communications on the situation, distributed via an intranet, email, text, or phone hotline to keep everyone informed on a developing and rapidly-changing situation. These communications may be frequent and urgent.
  • After Event: Information collecting on the status and safety of individuals and property used to identify priorities, including displaced guests, vital business employees, and affected individuals. Continuous internal communications are focused on planning for ongoing business plus reviewing future plans.

At CWS, we take a robust, multi-pronged communications approach. Our internal team communicates regularly over the intranet and email in advance of any event to coordinate. We communicate with our guests via email and other electronic means to provide storm tracking information, preparedness materials (for example, checklists), and emergency numbers. During an event, we utilize phone tree reporting and on-demand communications, including hourly updates regarding road closures, renter’s insurance, flood levels, and property access. Our communications encompass that with outside vendors such as suppliers, transportation options, properties, and hotels. After an event, we keep the lines of communication open to assist guests and address any challenges as we move back to normal operations.

3. Secure All Property

It’s essential to have plans in place for your “property” in the event of a disaster. Property not only refers to physical property but also digital property and intangibles like data and electronic information. In events you can anticipate such as storms, securing property includes monitoring conditions of physical buildings including the inventory inside.  Advising clients on how to prepare themselves through checklists and educational materials helps minimize loss, as well. Some standard best practices include unplugging and securing important electronic devices, offering hotspots, emptying fridge/trash if leaving the property, taking photos before an event (for insurance purposes), and setting up call forwarding.

At CWS, our plan includes details on how to secure physical inventory or devices necessary and advice for our guests to bring items indoors into sheltered or secure places. We put a lot of effort into protecting our property essential to our business operations to minimize cost and exposure for our clients and uphold continuity immediately following an event. We use cloud-based technology and telecommunications, mobile workstations, and integrated web-based application solutions, which enable us to stay online during disasters and support our employees and guests. CWS also secures additional inventory in the event our inventory is damaged, and guests cannot return to their apartment home.

4. Account for COVID-19

It’s essential to create additional resources and procedures to account for disasters occurring during the outbreak of COVID-19. These may involve creating a new disaster recovery plan or serve as an addendum to an existing plan. To account for the impact of the global pandemic, start by reviewing official guidelines on health and safety as they apply to your specific business and geographic location. Then, weave in additional precautions your business and clients should take as a result.

At CWS, we took immediate, proactive precautions against COVID-19 when it first hit and continue to provide a comprehensive response. We adhere to industry guidelines and requirements set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and provide emergency action plans as well as communication around governing procedures. During a disaster, it may not be possible to adhere to the social distancing guidelines; however, our employees and vendors will continue to utilize masks and gloves. The health and safety of our staff and clients is always a top priority, so we have accounted for pandemic health guidelines in our disaster planning procedures.

We have a Pandemic Support Team composed of key decision-makers responsible for guiding action, implementing procedures, and procuring supplies like personal protective equipment. The team meets weekly to monitor the ongoing situation and implement or adjust all COVID-related policies.

Our duty of care to CWS clients and guests includes providing comprehensive, proactive disaster recovery and business contingency planning. Being prepared in advance helps mitigate the effects of unavoidable natural disasters, keeps employees and clients safe, and reduces interruption of operations. AUSTIN, TX-

Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) Americas EMMAs (Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards), named CWS Corporate Housing Highly Commended within the Best Vendor Partnership: Corporate Organization & Specialist Provider category, along with Shell and Cartus, at a glittering gala dinner at the Marriott City Center, Dallas TX.

The FEM EMMAs are the premier awards for the global mobility and International HR industry and on Thursday night, following a highly successful two-day Summit, key figures, leaders and companies gathered to celebrate the brightest and best in the Americas region.

Claire Tennant-Scull, Global Director of Content & Marketing at FEM said:  “The EMMAs are the premier Awards ceremony for Global Mobility in the Americas and across the globe, with the greatest breadth of categories for both corporate professionals and service providers. This year more than ever too, I think we can claim that our Summit and Awards truly reflect global mobility right across the Americas, as we have seen a huge increase in entries from all parts of North America as well as Latin America.”

“EMMAs entries are rigorously judged by a team of fiercely impartial, highly experienced, senior figures in the industry, who are drawn from a range of disciplines across the Americas region and who give up their own free time to carry out a very thorough and demanding process. So, these awards carry tremendous kudos.”

“This year too, we have received entries from individuals and companies who have never taken part in the EMMAs before, so it’s invigorating to have so many new faces at the awards and to see how the industry is developing and bringing on new talent. I think the results were very interesting, and reflective of the change that is occurring across the industry. We were so pleased to receive such good feedback on many of the entries from the judges.”

This year the FEM EMMAs saw entries across 22 categories, and the independent judging panel made up of industry experts remarked on the high standard of the entries. Judged against a strict set of criteria, the competition for this award was fierce.

“I am proud of the partnership between CWS, Shell and Cartus,” said Tracy Hayes, President of CWS Corporate Housing. “This project was a success because all three companies came together as a team. With the combination of innovative ideas, willing team members and hard work, we were able to provide the best experience to our guests in a completely new setting.”

Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) Americas EMMAs (Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards), named CWS Corporate Housing winner of this year’s Corporate Housing Provider of the Year- National award at a glittering gala dinner at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, San Diego, CA. The FEM EMMAs are the premier awards for the global mobility and International HR industry and on Thursday night, following a highly successful two-day Summit, key figures, leaders and companies gathered to celebrate the brightest and best in the Americas region.

Claire Tennant-Scull, Head of Content at FEM said: “The FEM EMMAs really are the gold standard awards for the global mobility and international HR industry. They are the only truly global, yet region-specific awards with the greatest breadth of categories for both corporate professionals and service providers.”

“EMMAs entries are rigorously judged by a team of fiercely impartial, highly experienced, senior figures in the industry, who are drawn from a range of disciplines across the Americas region and who give up their own free time to carry out a very thorough and demanding process. So these awards carry tremendous kudos. It’s so important to receive recognition among your peers for innovation and hard work and so I think the winners and all those on the shortlist should feel extremely proud.”

“This year, we have received entries from individuals and companies who have never taken part in the EMMAs before, so it’s invigorating to have so many new faces at the awards and to see how the industry is developing and bringing on new talent. I think the results were very interesting and we were so pleased to receive such good feedback on many of the entries from the judges.”

“I am proud of the CWS team’s ability to remain steadfast last year during Hurricane Harvey,” said Tracy Hayes, President of CWS Corporate Housing. “This trying time has solidified our company and made us even stronger.”

This year the FEM EMMAs, saw entries across 25 categories, and the independent judging panel made up of industry experts remarked on the high standard of the entries. Judged against a strict set of criteria, the competition for this award was fierce. The judges commented on CWS Corporate Housing’s entry: “CWS Corporate Housing delivered strong results and innovation in a year of unusual duress due to weather emergencies. Throughout they sustained their focus on client service, community responsibility and public service.”

MOVECENTER AWARDS CWS CORPORATE HOUSING SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

MoveCenter named CWS Corporate Housing Supplier of the Year, the highest honor given to companies in the top tier of their given industry, which have a dedicated coordinator, state of the art facilities/equipment and the highest service levels. Out of thousands of MoveCenter suppliers worldwide, only 10 have received one of these distinguished awards for 2018. “When it absolutely positively has to be perfect in every way, we call CWS. Their best-in-class service is an example that other suppliers should strive to emulate” said Heisha Freeman, Executive Vice President of MoveCenter.

With supplier performance excellence being fundamental to MoveCenter’s success, the company launched an annual Supplier of the Year award as a platform to celebrate the ‘behind-the-scenes’ companies that are the lifeblood of any successful relocation. The annual Supplier Awards is their celebration of top performing suppliers each year. This is the second year for these awards, and this is the second year that CWS has taken a top spot.
MoveCenter used an evaluation process which assessed key attributes such as availability, responsiveness and customer friendliness of the coordinator(s) and willingness to “go the extra mile” to not just satisfy, but delight our clients. In addition to this feedback, they also evaluated transferee survey results, variance between estimates and actual prices, timeliness and accuracy of invoices, record of legal compliance, and adherence to specific client requirements including SLA’s.

“We are extremely honored to be recognized by MoveCenter and truly value our partnership,” said Tracy Hayes, President of CWS Corporate Housing, “our shared commitment allows us to work together to deliver the level of service our clients deserve.”

        America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000

For the 8th Time, CWS Corporate Housing Appears on the Inc. 5000 list,

Ranking No. 4968 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 41%

NEW YORK, August 17, 2016 – Inc. magazine today ranked CWS Corporate Housing NO. 4968 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

“Any kind of growth is always accompanied by challenges, but our team has established innovation and growth by finding ways to say yes to the impossible,” says Tracy Hayes, President of CWS. “In an industry where domestic relocation has been consecutively flat, I’m so proud of CWS for providing our clients with exceptional service while developing long-term relationships. Our growth would be impossible without a committed team, loyal clients, and devoted partners.”

The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands August 23) is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year growth of 433%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 18 through 20, in San Antonio, TX. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as best-selling author and strategist Tony Robbins, SoulCycle co-founders Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice, Cornerstone OnDemand founder, president and CEO Adam Miller, Marvell Technology Group director and co-founder Weili Dai, and New Belgium Brewing co-founder and executive chair Kim Jordan.

CWS CORPORATE HOUSING AWARDED OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER GROUP OF THE YEAR

CWS Corporate Housing was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Group of the Year at the annual League of Volunteers ceremony for their National Day of Caring event with GRACE Grapevine. CWS National Day of Caring is a one day event designed to create unity while CWS Team members make a difference together as a team.

“We realize the nature of our business prevents us from shutting down completely and taking a day to volunteer as a team, but we also recognize the reward when you have the opportunity to see something within your team members you would probably not have noticed within the confines of an office environment. With the core of our business revolving around the ability to provide creative solutions, we had to get creative in finding ways to volunteer together as a company while still operating our business” said Tracy Hayes, President.

On October 22nd 2015 CWS volunteered at bone marrow hospitals, nursing homes, soup kitchens, food pantries, repaired apartment units for transitional housing organizations, made, baked, and worked a lemonade stand for a fund raising event, volunteered at schools, individuals volunteered on their own, and continued the traditional of Brett’s Blankets.

Their philanthropic program, BRIDGE, is designed to recognize volunteerism and encourage growth, leadership, creativity, and community involvement among their teams. The sky is the limit when it comes to the company’s philanthropic efforts, the program is structured in a unique way that offers team members an opportunity to be project managers, event coordinators, and chief executive officers of community service. In 2015, CWS team members volunteered at hundreds of organizations and accumulated over $96,870 in funds which go towards the local communities.

The 2016 National Day of Caring is scheduled for October 20th. NEW YORK, August 27, 2014 — Inc. magazine today ranked CWS Corporate Housing as a 6th time recipient on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.  The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “This year there are far more social media and far fewer computer hardware businesses than there were, say, six years ago.
